GO Code is the new 21st century postal and location code that can be used to find places anywhere on the subcontinent of India.
When you run GO Code on your smartphone, you can see on the screen what your current location is and its GO Code appears on screen that you can tell to someone, text or email it – then they can see your location on their smartphone or look it up on the web at www.gocode.in

GO Code is more accurate than traditional address and postcode as you can identify locations within 10 metres with GPS enable smartphones. And of course since it represents the geocordinates of a location it’s easier to find using satnav.

This version of the GO Code application allows you to see your current location anywhere on the subcontinent of India. You can also move the map around on screen and target the place you want to get a GO Code for, hit a button and the GO Code appears.

You can enter a GO Code that someone else gives you, save it with your own description, and recall it when you want. The application links with Google Maps so you can work out the location you want to code in Map. If you have other satnav software application installed (such as TomTom, Navigon, Mireo Dont Panic and Navmii), you can enter a GO Code and navigate to it with your preferred application. You can also text your GO Code to friends from the application.

Share your GO Code location and let others know where you are using SMS, email, whatsapp (or whatever sharing software is on your phone). Whoever you send it to can look it up on the web at www.gocode.in. Let friends know where a restaurant, pub or nightclub is. Tell your players and their parents where the playing pitch is at the weekend - no more getting lost as kick-off time approaches. And if your house is one of those hard to find places, give your GO Code to the delivery company tell them to look at the www.gocode.in website or use the app and they’ll find you quickly and easily using Google Maps and their turn by turn directions.
